"Praxair, Inc. (NYSE:PX) is a global, Fortune 500 company that supplies atmospheric, process and specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services and technologies.
Praxair's primary products are: » atmospheric gases -- oxygen, nitrogen, argon and rare gases (produced when air is purified, compressed, cooled, distilled and condensed), and » process & specialty gases -- carbon dioxide, helium, hydrogen, semiconductor process gases, and acetylene (produced as by-products of chemical production or recovered from natural gas)."
I basically take incoming phone calls. Probably 60% of the calls are from Praxair branches from the States or Canada asking for a credit release, which requires me to look at customers accounts with us, check their payment history, if their current, and so forth. Then depending how their account looks I either allow for another purchase to be charged to their account or I don't. The other 40% are the customers themselves wanting to make a payment, wanting a copy of an invoice, wanting to know why they were denied, etc.
This is the exciting world you have to look forward to outside of college. Oh wait, you went to a worthwhile school. Never mind.
And I dont' know if it's really all Canadians that I hate, just the majority that I deal with at my job. Most of them are really touchy and become rude when you begin to question their credit. A whole lot more than the Americans I deal with, which is rather surprising.
So you're safe, as long as you don't have a gas purchasing account with Praxair.
