The latest in my world:
Still no phone. While I did place an order over two weeks ago with Sprint(now with Nextel) via their website, it turns out it didn't take. After numerous calls to their 800 number, I finally found out that there was a three day period in which I placed my order where their network crashed. This event caused all orders to be lost that were placed during that time. That really doesn't bother me, as things like that happen. And of course I understand there would have been no way they could have contacted me personally. The thing that gets me is that they didn't even bother to post anywhere on their website that it happened. On three separate occasions I went to the website for various reasons, and I did not see a single mention of what happened. And to add insult to injury I didn't even get so much as a "sorry" from the operator who told me all this. She simply said, "you'll have to order again."
Naturally, I placed my order last night with Sprint again and I should get it by Saturday.
Praxair offered me a full-time position. After much debate I decided to take it. While by no means would I consider it a great job, I wouldn't say it's a bad job either and right now I'm fine with that. As long as things continue as they are with my current involvement with music I'm perfectly fine taking a meaningless job such as the one at Praxair. Hopefully I'll only need to invest a year, year and a half at most.
The housewarming/Greg's birthday party went well. It was good to see everyone. Hopefully Greg will post some pictures.
Little else to share. "Christmas break" in less than 3 weeks. Except, it's not really a break for me. But for others it is, which means they get to come home and visit. And I'm happy about that.
Oh, almost forgot. Thanks to Praxair I hate most Canadians now. More on that later.
