*Intermission*

No, we're not fully moved yet.

But our furniture and most of our junk fit, so, yay!

(Don't ask me about all the sorting still to come. No, really, don't.)

It will be a while before we have internet up there, though, so we're mooching wifi when we can, and Em's tweeting up a storm to let you folks know we're still alive.

We are checking our flist when we can (Bathurst McDonalds will know us by name soon), but, understandably, we don't have time for much in the way of replies to stuff. An email or a comment will get to us, but it might take us a while to get back to you. Patience is key! Believe me, the lack of nets is bothering us more than anyone else.

What have I been up to? Well. Cleaning. Packing. Moving things. I got a stupendous bruise on my thigh that I really should have photographed for posterity. Injured my wrist, too, but fortunately it was just jarred, not sprained or broken, and it healed up in a day or two.

New yard seems Dougall-proof, which is great. Kitchen is fantastic, but unfortunately prone to ants. (ANTS IN THE FRIDGE OMG.) Garden has more plants that we want to keep than I thought (fantastic rosemary!) but needs a massive purging to rid it of the morning glory which is systematically hunting out and strangling all other forms of plant life. Neighbour will allow is to store fleeces in her shed, which is AMAZINGLY GOOD, because tiny tiny house does not have room for eight bags of fleeces plus everything else, and bedroom is starting to smell indelibly of sheep.

Fireplace is great as usual, but desperately needs a new grate. No idea what the hell that will cost. Must start looking for one.

Have been reading Robin Hobb and knitting RPM socks to fill the net-less hours. Received wonderful birthday gift from prydonia of yarn to make the Shipwreck shawl. Also expecting Jitterbug yarn to arrive shortly to make Lacy Cables Knee socks for mum for Christmas. Also have done a little spinning, but nowhere near as much as I'd like.

How are you?
