There was lots of business with the Riddler in this episode. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed the Riddler so much. It was probably the short period in the comics when he reformed for a bit and became a Sherlock Holmes-type detective and generally annoyed Batman.
Everything else with Jim Gordon paled in comparison this episode. That being said, the goodbye scene between him and Lee did get me right in the feels.
I was quite bemused to see Nygma beat a guy to death with a crowbar. I thought that was the Joker's thing.
Things seem to be getting better with Oswald meeting him father. It's only a matter of time before this goes horribly wrong for him. I always get a kick out of seeing actors that had previously appeared in related materials pop up again. This time we get Paul Reubens playing Oswald's father. Previously he played the Penguin's father in Batman Returns.
