Oh yes, he's said it a few hundred times, called her an anorexic psycho bitch (which she is) and knocked over half of her belongings in heated fights because she makes him want to drink. I've been there with them, but not for them, just for that sweet little boy. He doesn't deserve this. He deserves to grow up with a mother with one personality and one face who listens to therapists and doesn't like with three different guys every two years that he learns to think are each his father. Poor kid, he made Casey a father's day card and calls my mom "Grammy Bonnie." He teaches me little ninja fighting moves and then tells me I make the best scrambled eggs and grilled cheese in the world. He deserves so much more than what he has.
But now she's got a new man in her bed, in front of him, too, and she's telling this new guy all about how hard her life is and how mean her boyfriend can be, assuring him that when they finally break it off and her and this new man get together, it will all be great and normal and it's just him that makes her act this way. She'll convince him to help he let go of him and then stick around to babysit her adorable little boy. A few weeks down the road, she'll provoke Casey until he snaps and use it against him, get the new guy to fight for her, and then pretend she's so broken over it that he should stay with her for a while to provide comfort. Then he'll move in and her poor kid will tell him that he and Casey had fun together and no one will tell him why we can't play together anymore.
Then she'll use him as her secret weapon, trying to get to all of us through him because she knows we adore him. Unfortunately, I won't be able to learn how to be a ninja or turn into the tickle monster or put extra cheese in the grilled cheese sandwiches anymore. She'll manipulate us all, she's done it many times before, and Casey gives in and drags us all down with him.
I've never really liked her. I liked how good she was for him in the beginning, but never her. She's got too many problems that she refuses to treat.
I guess he had it coming, though, because this was how the two of them got together in the first place. "If they'll do it for you, they'll do it to you."
