I have this really wierd feeling like the screen is down and everything in the room is swimming. my chair feels really little, and my desk seems really big. I dont know what's wrong with me. it's kinda cool though.
my job hasnt started yet. they just havent gotten around to calling me. Lau is starting his internship with the water district tomorrow. what the heck? I applied way before he did, and he is making a few dolars more than I will be. so what if he is 5 years older, farther along in school and he has a heck of a lot more job and life experience!? I am jealous! anyway, I should be starting soon enough, finally! I got my physical examination the other day. it was at 8:30. it should have taken 1 hr at most, but I am positive for TB. so I sat around for a few hours while they shuffled papers, and at around 11 they sent me to another doctor to get a chest x-ray, but since my bike was at the shop, I had to walk. that took a while. I got to the other place, and asked the info guy where the x-ray place was. he sent me to pediatrics where they had a big sign posted that said they would be back at 1. so I sat around till 1. I was first in line, but it didnt help me. I said I was there for an x-ray and the lady directed me to another room. I went to that room and they directed me back to pediatrics. I freaked out. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! NO!!! I HAVE BEEN GOING FROM PLACE TO PLACE SINCE 8:30! I WAITED TILL 1 FOR PEDIATRICS TO FINALLY OPEN, AND THEY SENT ME HERE! BLA! BLA! BLA!... I'm sory, I'm sory. it's not your fault. I am just starting this new job and I need a chest x-ray for TB." they directed me to the occupational health clinic where I was finally directed to the x-ray room. the actual x-ray took 10 minutes. I got out at 1:30. cant beleive it! I dont even know if I want to work for these people anymore. they obviously dont need me or else they would have got me in before I left for ukraine. they would answer my phone calls. they would make sure I know what is going on. it's all about the money.
I went to ikea today for my first time. mouse pad, cookies, milk frother, light bulbs, toilet paper despenser.
went to the beach yesterday and the day before with Lau. yesterday was funny. it was a church thing, but it was all families with little kids. Lau's cousin was there too, and we didnt know to bring our own hot dogs and stuff. but then they heard these old ladies speaking romanian, so they introduced themselves and they just started talking. I had no idea what they were saying, so I kept my mouth shut until lau told me "say something in romanian." I said the first phraze that came to mind "mi-a foame" which means "I'm hungry." one of about 5 phrazes I have picked up. they shared their hot dogs and stuff with us. they were really nice. I like romanians. I never realized there were so many of them out there. anyway, the beach is fun. I like going in the water and swimming with the waves. we saw some dolphins on friday. we were there with the whole romanian clan so a couple of his cousins went swimming with us. he has like 50 cousins. we also learned that badminton does not work at the beach. sometimes it works playing by yourself against the wind, but not really.
goodnight.
