My lunch today
was a delight.
I got a call last night from the mom of school mates of the kids', who had some questions about a knitting project. I told her we should try to meet up in person so I could explain things, and she invited me over for lunch today.
What I didn't realize is that she was having a group of 8 total, and had prepared a full on korean meal. That was delicious. I helped her make wontons for the soup, and there was also a kind of sushi, and bunches of other really excellent items, including eggplant stuffed with meat. Oh, it was all good.
It was also really nice to see a few of the other moms, who I haven't seen since the kids have been taking the bus home. The ones we sometimes walked with showed a lot of happiness to see me, and were all curious what had happened. I guess they thought I'd taken a full time job.
The food was wonderful and the company was nice, and it was also kind of nice to know that you make an impression sometimes.
