Last weekend

My folks flew out last weekend, arriving Saturday morning around 7 am. By 1:30 pm, Reil and I had taken off for a weekend in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

We splurged on a nice suite that was right on the beach. Although it was too cold to spend much time out on the balcony, we did keep the balcony door open at times, and even with the door closed, we could still hear the surf. I really do miss living by the ocean.

We had a horrible dinner on Saturday night (don't try mexican food in Delaware. we weren't expecting good, but we weren't expecting Montezuma's revenge.) However, Sunday night's dinner at The Cultured Pearl was amazing. We started with tempura scallops that were like butter. They melted in our mouths. Yum. I had teriyaki eel and Reil had sesame crusted tuna. It was so good. Yum.

We saw two movies at the theater - Stranger than Fiction and Borat. Stranger than Fiction was reasonably good, though not as hysterical as the other Will Ferrell movies I've seen. Borat, on the other hand, was the funniest movie I've seen this year, and one of the most brilliant movies I've ever seen. Loved it.

We did some tax free outlet shopping, as well, and just generally relaxed while the kids had fun with Nana and Papa.

Definitely a two thumbs up weekend.
