One thing 'they' don't warn you about when you're contemplating children - you'll have quite a chunk of time where your showers will not be the private, relaxing affairs you're used to. Now I spend my showers with dinosaurs, fire trucks, ducks and boats - and usually a small boy climbing between my legs.
This morning, Jake turned all of the dinos and firetrucks on their sides and was saying "night night rawr" (dino in jake speak), "night night fiee" (firetruck) to each one. I hope they didn't drown while sleeping.
Today we're going to pack up the family and head over to Tilden for some sort of an adventure. I'm rooting for swimming in the lake. Reil seems less thrilled by that idea, but I think I can talk him into it. Or else, he and Molly can sit on the beach and watch Jake and I play in the water.
