Tommorow Morning: an interview with a Christian School for a teaching position. You gotta love how private schools have lower standards in regards to educational requirements for a position.
Friday Morning: an interview for another job in the education industry, but not teaching, sorta coordinating third party alternative programs with schools.
Finally getting responses to the resumes I have faxed and emailed out. Good feelings about all this. True, both of them are about a half-hour drive away, but...well, at least it's in an industry I'd want, and neither features customer service, a cash register, or food of any kind. Yay!
Still trudging along. Still optimistic. More so, actually. Trying to remember, as they say every week before service in church here, God is good, all the time, All the time, ALL the time! They've got a series going on now about staying in the Presence of God at all time, and it's kinda hard to practice, really, but it's good stuff. I honestly can't wait until Thursday to see if they're finishing up the series/adding to it.
Don't remember if I said this last time or not, but I paid up my rent through this month and next, so I'm feeling good to know I have a month and a half to produce rent money. But if I get the second job mentioned there, I'll make it in a week's time. Salary (about 2x what I've made in the past) with travel expenses and milage money for crossing the city and it's surrounding counties. (Bloody three counties in Jacksonville, I do believe.) Still, I'd like to teach, too, so we'll see what happens. I'm still looking around for other options, just in case, but I've got some good feelings about these two.
I fasted yesterday. First time successfully ever. Chopped 2 meals out. Was starving by the time I ate, but I got a TON of scripture read in the meantime. Felt excellent. Good stuff :)
