Finally a first entry...
Okay, to start things off correctly, you know what this journal is about and who I am, so I'm going to dive right in and post some lyrics I've been working on so that you can tell me what you think... the song is a story-type song and is called Into Hell. My rhyme scheme is really simple, so if you can't follow along, you're lame. Let me know what you think about this track. I will post more verses soon!
Lost in the heart
Of this dark-Short of breath
Looking for the light
But here, there’s none left
And the shadows cast shadows
And the night aborts the day
I’m looking for the path
But it seems I’ve lost my way
I take it step by step
And I call out for a soul
Lost in this abyss,
This void, this black hole

Cause the horrors of this hell
Well, they never seem to end
I persist against my fear
And my eyes release a tear
I ask myself what I did
To land myself here
It’s crazy, no it’s scary
“Anybody? Can you hear me?”
To no avail
Hell is like a solitary jail
And then I heard a whisper
Uttered by a shrouded figure
With caution I approached him
And asked him what his name was
He said his name was Damian
I laughed at the irony
The devils son would help me escape
His father’s tyranny
He said to pray to God
And that all would be revealed
His father’s strength was nothing
If faith was my shield
He said I had a mission
And that he was here to serve
And that I would find heaven
If I let God be heard
