Rec: Points of View Are People Too

Jul 29, 2009 00:26

I interrupt this journal to bring you a rec. Now I know some of you aren't really into RPF, but give this a chance. I have it from the source that the subject of this fic is completely comfortable having fiction written about him.

Points of View Are People Too by smokexscribbles. It is the Subjective and Altered For Ease of Narration version of events detailing the time Iambic and Second Person Tense broke up. Certain parts - especially the fuzzy slippers and the use of trusting in narrative casuality - are not necessarily canon. But my oh my, can Smoke write Iambic in character.

And another rec, this time regular fandom stuff:

Tie Me Down by minervasolo. It's the breathtaking account of how two depowered mutants - Jubilee and Jonothan Starsmore - went about the process of living after M-Day. I had little knowledge of either character before reading this, but I found I didn't need to. It's a beautiful story all on its own, honest and real and unexpectedly uplifting. I could not tear myself away until the very end.

now I'll get back to finishing that boxofmagic preview post. I could've sworn today was Monday, whoops.
