Any fic exchanges you're involved with in fandoms we share (or multifandom. Multi-fandom is good), be they by claim or anonymous - I want you to rec me them.
I'm realising that I do my best writing when I'm writing for someone else. When someone feeds me an idea that I can take and run with. I think this is why I love writing fanfic so much in the first place. But anyway, instead of writing a bunch of embarrassing drivel this year, I want to be pressured into writing really good fic.
So. Challenges and exchanges it is.
I'll rec one too, while we're at it. Just in case you haven't all heard of it yet from me.
dimension_shop, for all you CLAMP fans, is a really cool exchange, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a mod there. Beyond being an anonymous exchange, all the requests must be themed; our last round focused on female characters, and the round before that AU storylines. The cool thing about this exchange - well, the coolest thing - is that sooner or later, it's gonna challenge you. You may not have to write a character you don't understand, or a ship you despise, but you'll get a prompt or a theme you never really considered. Maybe this is a common occurrence in other exchanges, but I haven't seen any other CLAMP-only exchange like it. We're starting a new round soon (I'll probably post about it), so please have a look 'round if you're intrigued.
