I finally did what my parents have been asking me to do for weeks. I broke down and went to Unemployment. Now, not only do I have my parents bugging me to get a job, but the government as well. :) At least I'll be getting some money while I search, which was their whole point, and there are helpful websites and seminars and what-not ( Read more... )

I am in the midst of changing insurance carriers. My COBRA finally ran out, but at just the right time--it's open enrollment for insurance through the bookstore. Good. And, even better, it's half as much as COBRA (go figure!) and gets taken out of my paycheck, so that's one less check I have to write each month ( Read more... )

For a little over a year, I've been on cobra for insurance. It's through my old job at the music store. (Cobra, or possibly COBRA, is a way of being insured by paying out of pocket, instead of getting it through your employer/paycheck.)
