I forgot about the Puppy Bowl!
Once everything was over last night, I realized I'd completely forgot about the Puppy Bowl, which had an element that in theory could suck me in: They had a cockatiel live-tweeting from it. My mother thought I was joking when I told her about it after seeing it on the news. She also thought my father had gone off the deep end when he described that pigs would be the cheerleaders. No, really; you've never heard of the Puppy Bowl? Then again, this is the same woman who'd never heard about the White Castle Valentine's Day dinners that require reservations, so she does kind of live in a hole. The bad news is that the Kardashians and all those stupid "real" housewives also live in the same hole with her.
