Guess who still can't fly?

I had Kirby on my bed yesterday to try and clip her claws. Like the last time, she greatly disliked that idea and tried to get away. This time, she did try to fly. She got maybe a few inches in the air before nosediving into the corner of my bed. She veered toward the right, which is the direction of her head-tilt. Another couple inches over and she would have landed on the floor. She was fine afterward, but it's good for both of us to see that, no, flying still isn't possible at this time. This was the first time in weeks she's really tried.

Despite that, she just tried again a little while ago. Again, we were on my bed; again, she failed. At least this time she got a little more height, and she didn't immediately crash or veer to one side. Instead, she twirled in one direction sort of like one of those seed pods. I know she did mildly crash, but since the bed is soft she bounced a little and she eventually got to her feet.

This has to be really frustrating for her. We went through this earlier in the year when she molted two, then three, wing feathers right in a row. Poor thing. She's had the ability to fly the entire time we've had her, since she came fully flighted and we've never clipped her. She keeps standing atop her cage, on the edge, chirping and in a stance that shows me she wants to fly, she's about to take off, and I keep telling her no. It's sort of like a "Watch me, mommy!" deal, because if I leave her sight, she quiets down. I still hope she'll regain flight, but I know there's a possibility that won't happen. I'm not sure she realizes that, though.
