Project time

I've always been good at puttering around the house, so these past few summers have seen a lot of that. I do need to go out and weed some more, but at least dad has been checking on the tomatoes (we're up to five) during his smoke breaks. I don't particularly care to go out while the ground is squishy, and with all the rain lately, the ground's pretty saturated. It should dry out in the near future, at least. Mom wants me to do at least one chore a day, so aside from what I'd normally be doing, she's having me clean the blinds. That's cool, except when I bend down to pick up a set of blinds from the bathtub and feel a twinge in my back. Yeah, I skipped blind cleaning today to let my back rest--it's been okay for the most part, but a little bit ago I must have moved wrong and felt a little twinge again. Otherwise, I'm doing my own projects. I've been cleaning out my inbox as well as the folder on my hard drive, which always needs to be done, and I have this needlepoint I've been working on--well, off and on--for close to two decades that's almost done. Since I do like to watch a little TV in the afternoons, I've been stitching while the TV's on. It makes me feel a little more useful in some ways. I'm so close to being done that it's exciting. And then...who knows yet. Hopefully something involving income. But I'm not ready for that yet.
