On my to-do list this past week has been to contact Unemployment and let them know I went back to school. No, sorry, I can't keep claiming unemployment while I'm a full-time student. I did get the benefit of the extension, which was wonderful, so I really can't complain. I had kept a copy of my return to work letter from '07 and modified that, so at least I didn't have too much work to do. Then came the fun part, going to the various job websites and either deactivating my account or deleting my resume, whatever the site preferred. The best part was Monster, which recently got hacked...for the second time. I heard about this one on the news so I was prepared to change my password or what have you, but I was surprised to hear that another hacking occurred over the summer or so. That would have been when I was active on the site, as in searching every weekday, and this was the first I'd heard of the hacking. Thanks, Monster. This time, they did have a notice right on the front page, as well as one that popped up saying, hi, you need to check your email for a temporary password. Still? I'm really annoyed that they didn't really say anything the first time. This would explain, though, why I've been getting "I've found you a new job" spam for months. Oh, well. I'm done with all that for the time being. I've decided not to worry about working; I have enough on my plate, and I haven't even started the observation part of clinicals, which is a whole other deal. So, yeah, no job or income for me.
