I got to see Roomba in action tonight. I was in my parents' bedroom and noticed where Roomba was, under one of the windows by a dresser. Mom said, would you like to see it work? Okay, fine, so we let Roomba wander around for a while. It just sort of rolls along and bounces off of things. It went into the master bath, where it wandered over to the bath mat. Mom didn't want it there and picked Roomba up...where it promptly started beeping mournfully and lost its wheels and brush. Yes, Roomba came apart. I fetched dad and he put it back together, and we took Roomba into my room. I'd had Kirby with me when we first turned Roomba on, and he flew back to my room. Now, with Roomba in my room, Kirby was kind of intrigued. He slid down the sides of his cage, puffed himself up, and spread his wings. It was quite strange. I didn't let Roomba go to most parts of my room, but in my parents' room it went under the bed. You could hear it bumping along and then it would pop out from under the bedskirt. My room is a mess from more than just bird stuff--though Roomba's blue dirt finder light lit up several times while cleaning my room--but I need to pick up stuff off the floor before I let Roomba free.
Tomorrow at work the Regional Manager is due to visit. We've been preparing for this visit for over a week. I've been running around work like mad the past few days; as I sit here, my legs are trying to relax and cool down. Tomorrow is also the final concert I'll be attending. It's gonna be a long day.
I still have oodles of Christmas shopping to do. Bleah.
