Just one of those days
I should have known it would have been one of those days when I nearly melted my sweater to the iron. Note to self: If the top you're going to iron is made of a more delicate fabric than the pants you've just ironed, you need to turn down the heat. Luckily, it doesn't appear that the top is too damaged--I only did part of a sleeve, since the iron began sticking to it. Whoops. The iron fared worse, but I have since cleaned it and it appears to be no worse for wear.
Then came work. And I don't know that there was any one thing about work that was especially horrible; it was just a long, tedious day. We had another, albeit short, meeting discussing attendance and such. Oh, and I found out that I will be receiving reports from the supervisors regarding absences and such, seeing as I won't be getting a proper attendance report anymore. How did I find this out? When HRM held one up during the meeting and said, supervisors, make sure you turn one of these in to (me) each day. Oh? Uh, good to know. So, yes, I'm still confused about everything. I don't think this will end anytime soon.
Have I mentioned the GM and his penchant for singing? Every so often he walks around singing, and today he made up a song about the bathroom being occupied...in Spanish. It was simple enough that even I knew what he was saying, prompting me to ask if it was the Larry Craig song. The GM stuck a foot out and shook it at me.
Oh, and it looks like we'll be having some additions to the Company X family a little later this year. We have geese nesting at one end of the parking lot. Remind me not to go near that end.
