Breaking records (hot, hot, hot)
Despite the snow we had Friday night, we're back to our warm temperatures. Saturday was just an anomaly in our anomalous February. We're supposed to have record highs today and tomorrow--channel 9 is saying 68F today and 72F tomorrow.
I'm kind of bummed at the thought of losing the old record high for today. It was set in 2000, when I was in college, and I have a memory from that day. I'd had a music test that day and one of my classmates, Nick, had skipped out on it--then came to the very next class, choir, taught by the same teacher. Oops. I'd had to work that afternoon at the music store and Nick came in and I was like, dude, what are you doing? He had no idea we'd had a test. Doofus. But he was out and about because it was such a beautiful day and I remember us commenting on it, because 60s in February was super unusual back then. Nearly a quarter century later, it's strange that we've had multiple 40s and 50s this month and that typical average temperatures have been hard to find.
