The verdict

Just a brief post about the news of the day: Derek Chauvin was found guilty in the death of George Floyd. It's sad that there was doubt about this. From the moment the first video became public, it was clear to me that this was egregious force. The man tried to pass a counterfeit bill. His life was worth far more than $20. He did not deserve to die, and he did not deserve to die in that manner which was completely preventable. It's sad that it took Mr. Floyd's death for people to wake up to certain facts about this country. If only we can learn and grow from this experience--and most importantly, not have it happen again--only then will his death truly mean something.
