What is, the family curse strikes again?
What is it with my father's side of the family?
My grandmother dies--she is buried the same day as Mother Teresa, which happened a week after Princess Diana was buried.
My Uncle Ted dies--Steve Jobs dies a few days later.
My Uncle John dies--Robin Williams had died within the previous 24 hours.
And now Aunt D--Alex Trebek died early today. Sigh.
I don't know if she was a big Jeopardy! fan--I started this journal during the Ken Jennings era, so I have Jeopardy! posts--but perhaps she was, and she needed to have it in the afterlife, and therefore Alex joined her. Maybe? But now I'm concerned for the people featured on the Celebrity Jeopardy parody put out by SNL, because Sean Connery just died, too. YC and I were watching SNL clips the Saturday we worked together recently, including Celebrity Jeopardy, specifically the one from the 40th anniversary show. Gosh, I enjoyed that sketch.
It also saddens me that both Aunt D and Alex Trebek's lives were affected by cancer. What an awful disease.
No word yet on any sort of service. Dad did reach out to Kevin but hasn't heard anything.
