In recent weeks, we've gotten olfactory proof of stinky kitty's existence. This morning, I got a visual. There he was, galumphing across the front yard diagonally, making a beeline toward the sidewalk, then heading south. It was about 6:20 AM; perhaps he was heading toward work? Dunno. But he has been a polite neighbor, making neat tracks up the driveway and then the front walk. There have been smaller prints as well, suggesting one if not several younger versions exist. I'm not so thrilled that I'm spotting prints by my car, though. Please stay away from there.
After dinner, I was about to head upstairs when I noticed large-ish birds flying overhead. I looked back out the window, and up, in time to see just wings and feet--coming in for a landing. Body shape suggested a particular spring-appearing bird with a penchant for perching on the roof. I think those were ducks. Are they back? That would be exciting news. Checking in the yard and on the neighbors' roof, I saw no sign of anything fowl, so it did appear they were directly overhead. No quacking was to be heard, but then again no honking either, in case they were geese. They really appeared to be more duck-like, though.
