Back in the summer, our Chamber of Commerce started advertising a Monopoly-style board game based on our town as a fundraiser. This seemed intriguing and I figured mom or I would sign up for one at Windmill Fest. She actually beat me to the punch when she came across a booth at the 4th of July festivities, handed over $25, and gave pretty much just a name and email address. We were told the games would be ready around the holidays. Well, it's now the holidays, and we've heard nothing. Hmm. Mom brought it up a few weeks ago, and it's been on my mind too. I thought to Google it the other day and found original articles from June and July about the situation, and how they were taking preorders, and to check the C of C website for more details. That…led to nothing. Helpful. But another article mentioned to keep checking their Facebook page, so when mom got home on Tuesday, I had her check. Ah, good news--the most recent post said that the games were taking longer than expected, but they should be out for delivery on Tuesday the 19th. Okay, just one more week. That's not so bad. And we were relieved to hear something, you know?
