Stuff my mom says, colonoscopy edition
Mom is having a colonoscopy later this week. She's been on a restricted diet for a few days now. Today, she asked this question:
"Does butternut squash have nuts in it?"
Oh, you are so cute, I just have to kiss you on the cheek. No, mom, there are no nuts in butternut squash. Why does it have that name? Probably because it's buttery and nutty. I have no other reason.
(She is not allowed to have nuts, seeds, corn, or popcorn. We were given instructions on what not to buy at the grocery store yesterday, lest we tempt her.)
