Too bad we didn't win the Powerball. We could use $1.5B around here. Heck, even the $500 million the families are getting for splitting the jackpot would work. A fraction of that would work, heck. Because then, *we* wouldn't have to work and could spend time getting stuff done. Like cleaning the house. Or, better, having someone to clean it for me.
I'm slowing trying to cross things off my to-do lists, plural. For the first time in a couple months, I worked on some personal camp stuff, in part because I need to put it away for the next six months. I never finished going through my notes from back then. It's a tedious process but I know in the long run I'll be happy I did it--but I just have to do it. And, this week, with solo contest looming, I'm brushing up on a few things so I feel more prepared. Speaking of which, I managed to type up notes for myself after last year, and I'm finding that to be tremendously helpful.
It would just be nice if I could get caught up with everything. One step up and two steps back; that's been my life for months now. Did I mention I managed to find a portion of my bedroom floor? I'd like to find the rest of it before spring. Really, I'd like to Ikea it all up in here, meaning the computer room; there is so much wasted space on the walls that I've long thought should have shelves or something. Right now, I'd love a combination of cabinets and shelves, and maybe one long desk, but it would be great to get a futon or something in here as well. Take everything out and start fresh. Then, on the remaining walls, we could hang family pictures. We have plenty of them now.
There's so much to do that I typically find myself standing there staring at things and going, where do I start? It's that overwhelming at times. Gotta start somewhere. Might as well start...here.
