Doubling my pleasure, doubling my fun
Quickly, since it's past my bedtime: I had quite the day, with not one, but two parties. One was for work, the other for two of my cousin's kids, both of whom graduated this year (one from high school, one from grammar school). I was only at the work party for a couple hours, but the family party, more like five. Hey, I got to see several relatives I don't see much, including my other cousin and her daughter who live in California. Also, my aunt shared some stories and items from yore, essentially, including pictures of my dad as a child. Dad, by the way, got birthday cards from his sister and the CA niece, which he wasn't expecting. My cousin went, you spoiled me as a child; now it's my turn. And to think he was worried about losing his birthday to other family members. :) It was a good night, but long and tiring. Also, apparently my goddaughter is dating a Marine...this could be interesting. (He's freshly minted, and he's only home for ten days and then he ships off to Japan for two years, so her parents are okay with it. He seemed nice enough, and polite, so I guess it's okay, too.)
