holycrapola. i really haven't updated this. damn.
well lets see, what's the goings'on in the world of AJ?
i've been busy with work & unfortunately, we've developed a love-hate relationship. my commute is horrible and i go through it every day just to sit here and do practically nothing. there are times where i'm psychotic-busy, but most of the time i'm on ebay [my nemesis]. it's pretty pathetic; well not really since i'm still getting good money for it, but is it really worth it if i'm bored out of my skull 80% of the time?? i left my other job in hopes for a great change and really, to learn more about this [slowly dying] industry. well, it's been 5 months and i've learned a bit but what kills me is that i'm not busy. i came from an office where i was pulling 12-15 hour days. i was under a ridiculous amount of stress & pressure but oddly enough, i loved it and that's what kept me going. i left for many reasons, one being office politics, but instead of leaving the company altogether [which i was originally going to do], i got a promotion [i'm @ a different office now] which i really couldn't refuse. so here i am in a semi-dramatic love hate relationship with my job and now, the company. i'm looking for other jobs but like i said, it's a slowly dying industry. *sigh*. now it's just a waiting game. oy.
on to other things....
the spouse and i got back sunday night from our usual weekend @ the track in pahrump, nv. it was fun, but i'm really getting tired of the drive. it snowed til noon on saturday which caused the track to close for a few hours. while we were waiting, i was busy doing my snowdance on the back straight while the spouse rode around in circles on the motard with the fatass dog chasing him. hey, we had to entertain ourselves for a bit! anyway, after a few hours, they opened it back up and despite the sporadic snowfall [which lasted about 20 mins each time], the day went pretty well.
sunday was beautiful but REALLY COLD! a lot of guys kept running off the track in turn 3 but other than that, no major red flags. our drive home wasn't as bad as expected even though we got stuck on the cajon pass because of the snow flurries. we still made it home in 5.5 hours which is pretty damn good given the conditions we were driving in.
this week is laggin' like you wouldn't believe. not a ton planned for this weekend which i'm happy about. depending on the weather, there's a chance we'll be riding and then volunteering for some military baseball thing @ petco park. the only thing i'm certain about is that i've gotta drop off my car to get it's 30K service [whoa. already 30k...*sigh*] and i've gotta go and get my passport photo taken. oy.
well, i'm outta here. gotta get back to ebay...i mean work.
