I hate that I'm a commuter friend. That I have to drive 1-3 hours just to have a good time.
If I think about the good times I've had so far this summer vacation, they have all been in Temecula or Costa Mesa/LA. What's more is that no matter how many times I invite people from Temecula (or wherever) down here, (regardless of how much they claim to think San Diego is a rad city,) they won't drive down here. I'm stuck doing all the commuting just to feed that part of me that needs, you know, human interaction.
Seriously? Am I not worth the effort?
If I'm not, please tell me so and I'll stop spending 1/4 of my paycheck on gas to come up to Temecula every weekend.
It's not cheap, it's not green, it's very time consuming and I find driving long distances very stressful.
What is so wrong with me that I am supremely unable to make friends in San Diego?
