...since I last updated.
My, I haven't posted any G8 pictures yet!
This is me with other important people. See how Mr. Putin is so afraid of me he has to walk behind the rest of us.
And this is me with many more important people. It's such fun to host an event like that, let me tell you.
Lots of other things happened. First I had to surrender EU-leadership to Portugal, which came as a relief. Some problems are too much even for me. Then came the holidays, and Mr. Sarkozy didn't stop pestering me the whole time. Could I please look into the VAT for restauration? Could I please let him take all the credit for years of patient, behind-the-scene negociations with the Libyans? Could I please pretend not to see that he GAVE nothing less than a NUCLEAR PLANT to said Libyans, knowing fully well that they WANT TO BUILD A BOMB and that a plant is just HANDING OVER THE URANIUM AND THE TECHNOLOGY over to them? Could I please pretend his new, improved, abridged Constitutional treaty is something more than a half-assed project no one needs and no one wants. Could I please... the list never ends.
I have taken to ignoring his official letters for a couple of days to let him stew in his anger and then to delegating the arduous task of responding in terms short enough for him to understand them to some obscure sub-delegate of a minor spokesperson for the Kanzleramt. That'll teach him to treat his partners with some more regard.
But I do have good news!
I made it to the top of Forbe's list of powerful women for the second year in a row.
This, I believe, calls for a celebration of some kind. *points to icon*
