For whatever records may be kept, I was not affected by that flood. I am no Falangista. I apologise to each and every one of you for if I spoke to you rudely, harshly or of strict military discipline. I, unfortunately, had to keep up an act in order to remain a functional doctor on that ship, and providing help in that manner was more important than how I acted.
On that note: I do not, at the moment, know of the mental or physical health of any other doctors, but I would not presume them to work under these circumstances. If you require medical help, if nobody else is available, I am. If you have avoided the infirmary for... unfortunately obvious reasons in the past few days, please contact me, I will provide any assistance necessary. If anyone has died, inform the infirmary and any necessary wardens immediately. If anyone was removed from the infirmary during the past few days [COUGH], I would appreciate being informed so I can at least seek you out and provide medical assistance.
I do hope that is a less than common theme for floods, for I consider myself quite fortunate in being unaffected.
