I got the vibe that she's going to choose to complete her transition because she decides not to die? Like, she actively prioritizes her own survival over Stefan's moral issues? Which, WHOA, SHOW! MY BODY IS READY!

I'm hoping she prioritizes her own survival over EVERYONE'S moral issues/opinions/hang-ups, tbh. I NEED Elena's turning to be about her and her choices and feelings, not about what Damon/Stefan/Whothefuckever feel about it or want for her. (Which, knowing this show, won't happen, because, yeah, love triangle. :/ )

from what I gathered from the promo it seemed like Bonnie was going to find a way to save her from becoming a vampire, does it look like that to anyone else? I am wondering if all the spoilers I read from Julie Plec about her transiong aren't true? The promo really makes me think Bonnie is going to be able to pull off that spell from the otherside as they were saying

WAIT THE BONNIE STUFF. WITH JEREMY. IS BONNIE GOING TO NEARLY GET KILLED TO SAVE HER BEST FRIEND? they could screw this up so much or it could be my favorite thing ever.

lol Damon's 'you do it or die' and Stefan's desire to save her. I have a lot of ot3 feelings.

Tumblr is losing their shit over Bonnie's plan, upset that she'd risk her life for Elena, but not Caroline or Abby. :/ I'm pretty sure Elena STILL won't want Bonnie to risk her life, even if it means Elena would die for real or be a vampire. Besides the obvious fact that Bonnie is forever screwed over by the writers, Bonnie couldn't do the same for Caroline because Caroline had already transitioned. As for Abby, maybe because Bonnie was in too much shock to think about it? (But then we run into the issues of she was in shock with Grams, so...) CAN WE NOT PIT OUR GIRLS AGAINST EACH OTHER? PLEASE?

I agree, it could either go horribly wrong and problematic or it could be awesome.

I don't trust the writers with Bonnie all that much - but with Caroline, Bonnie didn't have a choice. And with Abby, their relationship was already strained. Bonnie was actually sort of happy that Abby transitioned, because Abby was going to stay with her and build something.

Her history with Elena, how much Bonnie has already given to make sure Elena stays human informs how this will go. There are racist elements in Bonnie's story, no doubt, but so many people use that as an excuse to ignore her completely and take away her voice even more by ignoring Bonnie's priorities and voice.

And right now, Bonnie is out to do what she wants to protect her own. She's not going to be pushed around by anyone anymore. Klaus abused and used her, Stefan and Damon abused and used her, nature literally took over her body and made her turn a friend.

Bonnie's pov could be awesome if she's willing to go really far for Elena. Because this could be about Bonnie taking her agency and Bonnie's changing, growing as a person.
