I got the vibe that she's going to choose to complete her transition because she decides not to die? Like, she actively prioritizes her own survival over Stefan's moral issues? Which, WHOA, SHOW! MY BODY IS READY!

I'm hoping she prioritizes her own survival over EVERYONE'S moral issues/opinions/hang-ups, tbh. I NEED Elena's turning to be about her and her choices and feelings, not about what Damon/Stefan/Whothefuckever feel about it or want for her. (Which, knowing this show, won't happen, because, yeah, love triangle. :/ )

Yeah, I said "Stefan" because Stefan happened to be with her in that dialogue, but you're absolutely right. Other people's moral qualms shouldn't matter here.

Fuck, now I have expectations. What if the show disappoints me? :(

Ooh, really? Because I did not get that vibe at all, and I would bet money that she doesn't choose to transition. (My guess is that she gets attacked, fights back, and then can't resist the blood. Something similar to Vicki.)

I would love it if she chose to turn though.

My impression was that she realizes she's dying, and that she has to make a tough choice.

But, you know. It's fanwanked from Nina's tone of voice. Could be wishful thinking.

I think maybe Matt is going to tempt her with his blood so she has no choice but to turn, since he feels guilty for her dying to save his life

My crazy pet theory is that Elena loses control and (or chooses to) hurt or kills someone, like the Pastor guy. Maybe to save one of the others?

And then Tumblr and the rest of the Internet would tear her to shreds for turning into a killer or not turning out of Twu Luv with the Salvatore of their choice or both.

yeah it's hard to tell when and where he is yelling because it looks like hes' yelling at her while shes in that caged area they put her in... so who knows, because that could be a totally different clip where he really isn't near the cage thing

I wish it was Oct already, it sucks that this year the show is starting a month later usually its back this month

It sucks that it's starting later, but to me it's worth it if it means we're not going on hiatus every two episodes like we did for season 3. And Elena's journey to me is important enough that I want them to take their time with it.

...I honestly hadn't thought about it much before, but now that you bring it up, it seems incredibly important to Elena's narrative that she make this choice for herself.
