So things are getting a little insane here in Australia. After much research, editing and stressing we finally turned in our rainforest papers. That means that now should be the time to start focusing on writing the lab report for Heron Island or the research proposal or start studying for the finals which are a little more than a week away. However, I find myself doing none of those responsible things. Instead, tomorrow we leave for a class sponsored day trip in Moreton Bay. That wouldn't be so bad except that rather than keeping it as a day trip and returning to Brisbane for the weekend to work and hang out a little I am going to Byron Bay for two days of SCUBA diving and hopefully a little surfing. We aren't spending the entire weekend which makes me feel a little bit better but when we return we only have two days to complete everything before leaving for the Whitsundays. We spend five days there on a live aboard sail boat, but then when we return there are only two days to cram before finals. I know it sounds like the good times out weigh the bad...and I'm sure while I am experiencing them school will be the last thing on my mind...but right now as I sit in the library procrastinating I am getting a little freaked out. Whatever, what's the point of going to Australia if you don't go see Australia.
