Tex-Mexican Standoff, or, daily update.
It was a decision of chicken burritos or thai noodles in teriyaki sauce this morning. I threw in vegetables and made the noodles. I'm waiting for the crap to cool before I try it.
My chickens and ducks have decided that the nesting boxes are just too convenient for them to lay their eggs in. Mum went on a scavenger hunt last night and came back with 6 from one nest she found. I am considering trying peking duck, as she was the one that dug the damn nest.
They're not the only ones I'm having problems with. The dog is no longer going on walks with me. At 8lbs, she is the perfect size for Bob the Cat. Early on, I tried to train her to a leash, but she always dropped like a protestor at a sitin when I put one on her. You don't know guilt until you've dragged a small dog down a gravel-chip road for over a mile. So, she doesn't go out on a leash. Well, she wasn't with me when I reached the 4 way, and dragged her ass to reach it when I called. At the end of the road, she wasn't anywhere near me. I waited near 5 minutes before she slinked her ass up. I told her to come here, and the bitch ran all the way back home. My feet hurting from the fast walk to get there, I fast walked back, grabbed her, and dropped her over the friggen fence. I wanted to drop kick her. Oh, I was so pissed. Now, she's never going with me again.
