Well, these past few days certainly have been interesting, haven't they? I thought the last two curses were especially creative, although there's not much more I can say on that. It is a bit like talking about the weather - isn't it? - as one gentleman I know of pointed out once. It is a shame he has left now, though I suppose it's for the better ( Read more... )

A mushroom that can restore life?

...The pain that can come of this is immense. How many would want it? How many would kill for it, even die for the resurrection of a loved one?

If this were any normal world I would liken it to the golden apple of Eris. On my own world, lives have been lost and livelihoods made on the mere concept of bringing back the dead.

However, since this is only the City I think I can hold out hope that it will not cause too many problems. After all, the previously impossible is possible here.

The impossible is possible, but the question is a lack of resources. If it can bring someone back, and there is only one of it, well, everyone wants it. And only one can have it.

In my world as well, wars would be fought over just the possibility...

Anyone can get their life back with a simple trade. I'm sure it won't stop people from wanting the mushroom instead, but it will surely lessen the ferocity of their desire.
