ouch.
So... Lorraine and I had our first bath today. Meaning, of course, for the first time in this pet-owner relationship, a bath for the pet happened.
She looks very naked right now, without her bandanna and collar.
The bath was certainly a learning experience. Like, Lorraine will try to climb out of a deeper-than-standard tub, but she will be stoic if I just lightly place my hand on her body, and not move too much. Unless, of course, I am cleaning her back end (AVENGE THE BUTT!).
She really, really, REALLY does not like the hair dryer. She is not stoic about that at ALL.
And did you know her coat is somewhat water-repellent? I didn't, until I saw it beading on her back.
I would say a fun experience was had by all, except Lorraine would disagree with me (tho she did get yummy eatins at intervals during the experience), and my shoulder says "hell no this was not fun." But it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I tried to make it fun for her, but other than the treats it was just something to be endured.
This, combined with the dog park today, seems to have fair tuckered out my little bundle of energy. Which in itself is amazing.
Sadly, there is no documentation of this momentous event. I was hoping she would look pathetic and sad and I could get pictures, but I forgot the camera. Oh well. Maybe next bath.
