opportunity to paint your own pottery!

So, some background.

I paint beads for various reasons. My most recent batch of beads I painted ages ago (8/19). Circumstances had prevented me from picking them up the following Sunday (when they would have been ready). So when I went in on 8/30, to pick up beads that SHOULD HAVE BEEN READY, I was told they were not ready. That they were still being fired in the kiln. Grrr. Okay, whatever.

A completely different set of circumstances prevented me from picking them up until yesterday. When I entered the store, the manager (a great guy, and it kills me that I can't remember his name), who knows me and more importantly, knows my work handed me some bad news.

My beads were missing. They have no idea where they are.

He made it up to me, by giving me new beads and free studio time to repaint them. Would anyone who does not previously have plans be interested in keeping me company while I paint?

I plan to be there from 11 AM to when they close, or when I finish (whichever comes first). I'm going to the Chantilly location of Clay Cafe Studios. You can get info here: http://claycafechantilly.com/store-location.php. I am going to be there, and I will probably break for lunch nearby. If you show up, great. If you want to let me know, great. You can call me on my cell if you have it, or drop me a comment/email and I'll send it to you. These are my big plans for Saturday. Feel free to join me.

Please note that while I will get free studio time, I can't guarantee that anyone else will. If you don't know how these places work, you pay for the studio time (usually a flat rate at Clay Cafe, regardless of how long you take) and the price of the piece. They don't have the September coupon/specials up, but you can call the store for those details. If you have kids, it can be a great experience painting a figurine or what with them. Or whatever. I'd just love to have the company.

EDIT: I may be running late this morning, but I will try to get there as close to 11 AM as I can. I will, however, leave at about 5:30 PM or so.
