(no subject)
I'm sick. i took some Mucinex (sp?) and have been drinking lots of fluids. I still don't feel better. At least I have today off. We rented a really good documentary called the "Boys of Baraka". Its about some inner city youth from Baltimore who get chosen to attend a private school in Kenya. It really makes you think. Go watch it, NOW!!!
I've read a ton of books recently. I have some pretty decent gender books if anyones interested in reading them, one is called "The Man Who Would Be Queen", and it really made me think about my perception of stereotypes ect. The other is called "On Three girlhoods : My own, my mothers and my fathers". The girl went to Oberlin (Go Becca!). It was pretty fun to read. I also re-read The Giver, and To Kill a Mockingbird. To anyone who has read The Giver, Do you think Jonas dies in the end?
I'm glad I re-read them both, I got so much more this time around.
I changed the battery in Mr. Fancy all by myself. And I only almost set myself on fire once. I'm glad it was only the battery. It did spark an interest in me in the workings of a car. I'm going to get the book to mine and figure shit out. weeeeee!
