After a series of boring classes and horrible presentations no one cares about, I took the bus to Borders and got David's book.
It's hilarious!! I'm only a chapter or so in and already I've cracked up so much.
+ I LOVE Hector's mother! Normally, anyone who offers a vegetarian chicken I would promptly call an idiot, but she's so sweet about it. And the baby! Hahaha! I've just stopped at the part where she's talking into the camera and Hector says she pouted a bit, "like Posh Spice used to until she was told to pack it in and smile a bit more." Also, as the daughter of a huge Frida Kahlo fan, Connie's discovery of her was really sweet.
+ I really like Eleni, and not just because she's Greek (and Cretan to boot!!).
Also, I imagine it will take a while as I look up all the artsy references I don't know. Just saying, I'm curious.
