Time to set things straight.
I believe it is time that the truth be revealed and I come out in the open with my findings and discoveries about this island.
First of all, for those of you who are unaware of my presence, I am Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, High Prosecutor of Los Angeles and honorary Rookie Detective. I have been studying your island and its effect on the human psyche for several weeks now, and I have made some interesting discoveries.
Many of you believe that this island, or 'The Island', to have magical properties, as well as being some sort of benevolent/malevolent deity. You all have tales of its 'powers', as well as the admittably strange fact that we're all here to begin with. People returning from the dead, as well as the already deceased appearing here... Rains of strange items, as well as bizarre other weather effects... logically, these things can't happen. And yet they do.
Let me present another angle. This so-called 'Barrier' surrounding the island. Not only is it intangible, it also surrounds this entire island chain. This is obviously impossible as a natural object. Now... I must present to you all my theory.
I believe that this island chain may be the property of some sort of crime lord. We may all be the victims of some sort of large kidnapping scheme for some reason. We've all been drugged, perhaps, with some sort of hallucinatory substance; this seems rather likely, considering the circumstances, as well as explaining away some of the inconsistancies, such as many of you believing yourselves to be from worlds where magic and demons exist. As for the... non-humans... I believe either them in their entirety, such as the... bizarre yellow frog... and sun thing... or specific skills they have, such as that bizarre giant red bird being able to talk, are also hallucinations. There's... very little other explanation. I don't even know what that frog is supposed to be.
The aforementioned barrier gave me some trouble, until I thought about it: We've all been implanted with small computer chips that generate an electric shock once we exit the range that the island is encompassed by. Rather explains it, hm?
