"God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there, / And learn by going where I have to go." --Theodore Roethke
"It is the lumps and trials / That tell us whether we shall be known / And whether our fate can be exemplary, like a star." --John Ashbery
Beautiful, isn't it?
^One of my favorites from the wedding - the bride's mother, Cheryl, opted for this fine footwear at least until it was time for pictures before-hand ;) I thought I'd contrast it with my own foot.
Why are all my good pictures black and white?
Out the door and into a new life. Congrats, Brian and Amy!
I didn't get married or anything, but I had an interview yesterday with the school newspaper and will indeed be on staff with them in the fall. YEEEEES!!! I don't know why I was so nervous. It was only a fifteen-minute thing, and the editor is very nice. They were actually experiencing a bit of scandal that day, and it was interesting to hear various people talking about it. Even got a tour of the newsroom, which was interesting.
In short: again, I wished I lived back out in the country so I could go outside somewhere and scream. But I did tell lots of people and that helped. :) I hope it turns out to be an enjoyable thing.
And, yes, I do get paid - not much, but it's better than nothing :)
