It's everywhere. It's taking over the world. People are talking about it, squealing over their new-found love at small group last night. Giant boxes of it are for sale in the middle of the bookstore. It's making headlines on Google. Visiting a friend, I hear the entire time a strange tapping emanating from the hallway. He says wryly it is his neighbors, one of them playing the "drums." They do this for hours on end, all through the night (tapping, tapping, tapping). It's insane.
I maintain: if you have that much fun playing a plastic replica of the real thing on a TV screen, how much more awesome would it be to, like, sit down with an actual instrument? Okay, maybe not much; it's too hard or something. Yeah... I've always wanted to play the violin. Does that mean I'm going to get endless kicks out of playing a fake dumbed-down one?
...Let's don't answer that.
All I'm saying is - I'm confused. That tapping sucks. I get that maybe it isn't so much about the instrument/music part as it is just having fun and hanging out. Which - why accuse anyone in that sphere, except that it's weird and... eh. Maybe I'm just a fogey.
