I'm not good at talking to people. I mean like, dealing with the general public. It is not my area of expertise. I love, working at Odeon, being able to save people from seeing terrible films. Working at the Box Office and people are like "So half of us want to see No Country For Old Men and half of us want to see Jumper. Which is better?" and I can be all "Well, No Country For Old Men won a bunch of Oscars, and Jumper sucked massive monkey balls, so I'd say the first one." And that is great. They don't know it, but I am a hero.
But still, I am just not good at talking to people. Until, that is, I use the word "guys". Suddenly it is like we are friends and I can be all cool with them. "Yeah, you guys are seeing Juno. It's in screen 8, just round the corner here. You guys enjoy the film."
Suddenly I am this laid back expert on films who is totally making their trip to the cinema enjoyable.
It is a magic word.
There is a staff only showing of Drillbit Taylor - Owen Wilson's latest comedy - tonight. The film comes out tomorrow. I will let you guys know if it is worth seeing. It's from the same guys who did Superbad, which was far funnier than I expected it to be.
I think my food is ready. I will continue this later.
(It is later) My food was good. But it turns out I don't really have a lot more to say except vomiting ghost finger puppets are maybe kinda awesome?
