Her Interactive, Inc. (Bellevue, WA), developer and publisher of the highly successful Nancy Drew mystery game series, seeks a highly-talented Writer to create our dialogue and logic documents. Position: Writer
Status: full time
Reports to: Executive Producer

Summary
This position is responsible for all aspects of our game scripts including dialogue script, written assets, logic document, voice auditions and direction and asset management. This person will collaborate with other team members to participate in the effort of defining the story, features, and character development of several games on several platforms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop characters
- Write dialogue script
- Write written assets
- Write journal and task list
- Create and maintain logic document
- Provide feedback on story ensuring narrative cohesion
- Set up and manage auditions for voice talent
- Set up and manage voice recording
- Direct voice talent
- Manage voice files
- Contribute to game design
- Test game builds
- Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional creative writing skills
- Thorough understanding of narrative structure and conventions
- Ability to work in cross-departmental teams
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent logic skills

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree

However, given the tendency of every single character I've ever written to ignore my instructions & gallop off into dark &/or silly places that neither I nor nature ever intended, methinks the tween-market powers that be would fire my ass during the first week.

I have a NASTY muse. Not that I want her to go away, but still.
