so i finally have a chance to update about.. college (dun dun dun)
first off.. leaving was really hard. i didn't end up finishing all my packing until saturday morning. saying goodbye to all my friends, and not being able to see some of them before i left, was equally hard. i wish i had had more time. but alas.. there's always thankgiving, right?
anyways.. saturday: mom, dad, and i drove down and unloaded everything into my apartment. stayed overnight at a hotel, then hit the stores on sunday to buy everything i had waited to get til i was down here.. which was pretty much everything except my clothes and my bedding. finally got everything set up. said goodbye to dad. then mom and i spent our first night in my room. she had to leave for jacksonville in the am for a deposition, then came back later and we went grocery shopping.. i think i have everything i will ever need, ever. it was late so she stayed overnight with me again and left early in the morning to head back to atlanta. i don't think she ever wanted to leave.
so today was basically my first real day on my own. definitely will take some time getting used to.. then again laying by the pool for a few hours and eating chocolate pie at 11 pm ain't so bad a life =)
also had my first rush experience today. only a introduction meeting, but still.. it's all a bit overwhelming. met a couple of girls in my building and we all drove over together and then went out to eat afterwards which was fun. i'm sure i'll be meeting tons of new girls this week.
even though i'm really nervous, i'm excited at the same time.. especially because one of my pi chis is obsessed with broadway!
talked to my shira love today. thanks for the call, honey! you better come visit! also talked to michael for awhile, and of course the parentals who are expecting a call everyday.. oh parents.
anyhow, i guess that's college. i have to wake up at 6:30 tomorrow for parties! my bed is definitely calling my name =)
