The lighting has been glorious lately. Seriously. It's been happening every night, just about, and often I keep the ungodly hours that allow me to see it. Several times I have been driving through the storms that seem to rove around the streets at night

How utterly utterly gorgeous, Im so very envious right now.. a couple of years ago I managed to witness a huge lightning strike over the city I lived in at the time - over 200 strikes in an hour and it carried on through the night.. but more than that you could see it moving from East and come closer and closer .. pure magnificence just standing there and watching it all.. even the air smelt and tasted difference.

I love lightning. I used to be scared of it as a kid but I love a good thunderstorm now.

I always find lightning so cool from an aesthetic perspective but get really easily freaked out by it from a visceral one! I'm the girl who hides herself under the covers whenever there's a storm...
