So I am playing game of sorts. I got five topics to talk about, then if people want to play they comment and I give them five topics. If you want to play, tell me.
The topics I got were:
Les Mis..
Voodoo
American Candy (any sort)
Rome
Flowers
1.Les Mis..
I really like this play, it is very moving and very sad. I wish I could say I got into it because of an intellectual reason at first, but I really just got "On My Own" sung by Lea Salonga off of a Harry Potter mixtape someone made. I was struck by how beautiful and powerful her voice sounded and she will always sound like Eponine to me, so I looked into the soundtrack and the plot of the play/book. "Drink with Me" or "Do you Hear the People sing?" still plays randomly in my head at times.
2.Voodoo
Voodoo is one of those religions that I find fascinating in part because it is so hard to find legitimate information on it. People seem very hesitant to talk about it in real life and I'm never quite sure who to believe on the internet. (There are a lot of pretenders out there.) It is a very dark religion, as is fitting of a death based religion, and I would not practice it myself, but the spirits are very fascinating.
3.American Candy (any sort)
I'm not too big on candy simply because I do not have that big of a sweet tooth. But I am partial to candies like Now and Laters or Airheads that come in obnoxious neon colors and turn your mouth colors. I rather like things that are blue flavoured and turn my tongue bright blue.
4.Rome
I once visited Rome. It was a very nice city, though it disappointed me because of the idealized version I had of it in my head. I guess I was expecting it to have more of an ancient feel to it rather than being the thriving metropolis that it clearly is. I love roman culture from the ancient times and seeing the traces of it in the city was great. I just wish more of the ancient things had been preserved more, so many have fallen into ruins over the thousands of years.
5.Flowers
I rather like flowers to be honest. They are very pretty. I grow some in my garden. Nothing special is in my garden though, just a mixture of things that came in a sheet of seeds. I would love to grow hyacinths or gardenias or something with a lovely scent, but I don't think I have the time to care for them like I would have to. I like flowers better when I can smell them.
