Captains Log: Star Date supplimental: something has happened to me the past couple of weeks. I've noticed my increasing interest in Star Trek is becoming totally out of hand. I fear this new obsession of mine will sink me to a new low. I already have a hard enough time meeting women. No one wants a trekkie. I'm catching myself using words like "disengage" and "warp speed, Mr. Sulu". I've already collected countless hours of tape documenting the USS Enterprise and the many adventures and conflicts facing the crew aboard. It's growing into an addiction. Earlier I went entertainment shopping with my dad over at Ameoba and it was all i could think about!! "Hey dad, what's the best star trek movie?" "Have you seen 'Wrath of Khan'?" "Oh shit, next generation season 2 costs 100 dollars, but the packaging is pretty...it might be worth it"....NO! I didn't go that far. the day i spend a 100 dollars of my hard earned minimum waged slavery money on a science fiction television series is the day I...go too far. Which is better, original or next generation? who's better, Kirk or Picard? Data or Spok? DAMMIT JIM, I'M A DOCTOR NOT A CRITIC! If you're wondering which side I'm on (I bet you're not) I'd have to say they're both equally special in their own way. Though I must say the latter theme song tickles my engines to practically no end. makes me feel like i'm at universal studios on a field trip and i'm about to go on a really awesome motion/virtual screen stimulated ride. but my point is this, we must get over our overclassified pockets of social labels...Oh he watches the sci-fi channel, he's a nerd. When did 'Trekkie' come synonymous with 'Geek' and 'Virgin'. I say it's a damn good show and that's all there is to it stop judging me!!!!! Captain over and out. Maximum warp, make it so.
